MIH is a student hall of residence
in Victoria Park, Manchester, UK. The residents
include both postgraduate students (home and international) and
mature students. MIH is linked to and supported by the Methodist Church
(owned and managed by the Methodist local district).
The buildings are set in ample gardens and located
in a historical suburb within easy reach
of the main campus, the city centre and local
shops (notably in Rusholme and Longsight). The Hall normally
accommodates residents from over 25 countries
(including the UK) and hosts a welcoming
multi-cultural/multi-faith community. Both
Wardens and Tutors
are based on site and
external Advisers are also available to support residents. The
office is open on weekday mornings, self catering
facilities are available in the blocks -other extras
include a broadband
connection
supplied by the University of
Manchester. Two en-suite rooms are designed to welcome wheel chair
users. All rooms at MIH are for single occupancy only.
